Thanks to all of you who were able to make it out for our Red Dress concert tonight! There was a great crowd. Hope to see you all back for our next concert on May 2nd!
Our Red Dress concert is presented by Ogden Regional Medical Center. We will play Grieg’s beautiful Heart Wounds and the Last Spring, Shostakovich’s sassy and virtuosic Cello Concerto no. 1 (Douglas Ball is the soloist), and Beethoven’s iconic Fifth Symphony.
The concert is at 7:30 in the Browning Theater at Union Station. A reception before the concert (hosted by Ogden Regional) begins at 6:45. Tickets are still only $5.00, and may be had at the door.
Please consider further supporting the orchestra by purchasing one of our COO T-shirts at the concert for $13 and/or making a donation using our brand-new “Donate” button on the right of this page. Also remember Love Utah, Give Utah is coming up soon!
Our next concert is February 28, 2015. This is the annual Red Dress Concert, which is sponsored by Ogden Regional Medical Center. Everyone is encouraged to wear red to help celebrate American Heart Month. There will be lots of information on heart health, and ORMC is hosting a reception from 6:45 to 7:15, prior to the concert.
Repertoire for this concert includes Grieg’s Heart Wounds and the Last Spring, the first movement of the Shostakovich Cello Concerto No. 1, with orchestra cellist Douglas Ball as soloist, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5.
Chamber Orchestra Ogden t-shirts will be on sale at this concert for the special price of $13.00

We now have a YouTube channel ! Our first offering is a movement from Schubert’s “Trout Quintet”.
The concert tonight was a great success — we played well, for a large and appreciative audience. Tonight’s concert concludes our current season, but stay tuned for dates and details about what’s in store for the next season.
Keep in touch, and we’ll see you all soon.
Come support live local music at our concert tonight — we’ll be performing works by Mozart, Respighi, and Mendelssohn.
7:30, $5, Ogden’s Union Station (please note this concert is in the Grand Ballroom rather than the Browning Theatre).
For our next concert, COO will be performing Mozart’s Overture to The Marriage of Figaro, suite number 1 of Respighi’s Ancient Airs & Dances, and Mendelssohn’s “Italian” Symphony. Jared Oaks from Ballet West will guest conduct the Mozart, and this concert is presented in partnership with HopeKids.
As always, 7:30pm, Ogden’s Union Station, $5.
You already Think Local and Shop Local. Why not Listen Local?
Chamber Orchestra Ogden is happy to be participating in the annual fundraising campaign Love Utah, Give Utah. Here’s our donation link. To sweeten the deal, every donor to COO who gives $25 or more will be entered into a drawing to win a one-week stay at a beach resort in Mazatlan, Mexico (travel not included).
You already Shop Local, why not Give Local and, while you’re at it, Listen Local? Our next concert is April 26.
This concert is sponsored by Ogden Regional Medical Center, and is a Red Dress Event in honor of American Heart Month, with the goal of raising awareness about heart health. Wear red to the concert to show your support.
We’ll be playing Beethoven’s Zapfenstreich March (a military-style piece for winds and percussion), Barber’s beloved Adagio for Strings, and Haydn’s characteristically witty “Surprise Symphony”.
As always: 7:30, Union Station, still only $5. See you there Feb 22!
