JANNETTE DUFFIN

Janette Duffin has been playing violin since the age of three and started piano at the age of five. She has been involved in music ever since then. She played violin through college on full scholarship while earning degrees in theater and zoology at Weber State University and served as concertmaster of the orchestra. She studied violin under Juleen Boothe, Richard Stout, and Norma Lee Madsen. 


Every summer during college was spent in a different state doing summer theater – Montana, Wyoming, Iowa, South Dakota in addition to Utah. She then earned her Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Utah. 


She currently teaches chemistry at Woods Cross High School. She has played in several local symphonies and also played for musical productions at Weber State, Egyptian Theater in Park City, Grand Theatre, Pioneer Memorial Theatre, and also dance productions for Imagine Ballet Theatre. 


She loves to spend time with her husband Gregory and their four children. They enjoy hiking, water skiing, camping, and making music together.
